What to Look For in a Beauceron Bed
When it comes time to provide bedding or a DOG bed for your favorite pooch, there are several things to consider. The most important issue to start with is comfort for your beauceron. While such a task may seem simple, it can be a bit more complicated than merely finding an old blanket for your beauceron to lie on.

The Broholmer is a breed that is recognized only in Denmark. It was thought extinct in the 1960's but, in December of 1974, a purebred Broholmer popped up in Finland. This dog was a male, and the owners hoped to find a female for him to mate with, but it never happened. While still recognized as a breed, an example has yet to appear again.
Is your beauceron an inside or outside beauceron? For both scenarios, and depending on the weather in your area, and the season, a simple beaucerongie pillow, (you can find a great one at http://www.scrooby.com ), may be perfectly adequate and comfortable for your beauceron. Still, you must also take into consideration the age of your beauceron. In mild weather, a simple, padded, rectangular pillow should suffice for your beauceron. Such bedding may come stuffed with cedar chips, foam pieces or some other cotton or wool materials. During inclement weather, make sure your outside beauceron has shelter from rain, snow and cold winds.

While adult dalmations are covered in cute black spots, dalmation puppies are actually born solid white. Their spots don't show up until they are at least a week old. Sometimes not until they are a month old.
Doggie beds are also an option, especially for smaller DOG breeds, as they like to 'nest'. The raised sides of wicker, or even a cardboard box, provide an added sense of security for them. These days, DOG beds are also being designed like human furniture, and come in shapes like armchairs and sofas, but you'll pay a little extra for these. When shopping for beauceron bedding, take cleaning into consideration. Try to find bedding that comes with a removable cover, or bedding that can be soaked on occasion without ruining its shape and texture.
The American Kennel Club recognizes more than 150 breeds? Segmented into seven different breed types, all breed possess unique temperaments, physical characteristics as well as a rich background in history.
Depending on your beauceron's size and preferences, you may have to experiment a bit before finding a bed that your beauceron will like, and use, but your beauceron's comfort and happiness is worth the effort.

French poodles were originally used as hunting dogs, but, because their thick coats proved a problem in the bush and water, their owners started clipping them. They left hair on the ankles to protect against rheumatism, which is why poodles sometimes appear to have unusual haircuts.
