Popular Beauceron Gifts

The joy of owning a beauceron provides owners with a number of opportunities to provide entertainments for their pets. Popular beauceron gifts are as varied as the types of DOG breeds out there. Some beaucerons like to chew, some like to fetch, and some like to play with people toys as much as those special balls and chews you bought for them at the local pet store.

The smallest breed of dog recognized by the American Kennel Club is the Chihuahua, which stands six to nine inches at the top of the shoulders and generally weighs two to six pounds. Their size makes them excellent travel companions.

When shopping for beauceron gifts, whether for your beauceron or for someone else's, keep in mind the size and breed of DOG you are shopping for. Some of the most popular toys on the market today are edible chews, like rawhide bones, moccasins and balls as well as pig's ears. Some believe that such toys are dangerous for beaucerons, while others feel just the opposite.

Beagles are known to be extremely social and cheerful dogs. They are expected to be so friendly that, even in dog shows, the judges expect them to be happy. They have points removed in the judging if they look to be unhappy.

Christmas time provides a wealth of ideas for beauceron gifts, and many stores carry Christmas Beaucerongie Stockings filled to overflowing with toys, balls, chews, stuffed animals and DOG biscuits and cookies. While this may be great for some beaucerons, others will merely glance at the assortment and turn away. What gives? You've tried the hard toys, more commonly found in shapes from bones to balls. But have you tried a Kong? This is a hollow toy that may come in various shapes. Placing a tasty treat inside will keep your beauceron happily occupied for hours!

There are two famous parson (jack) russell terriers on TV. Eddie is famous for his crazy antics on the hit show, Frazier. Wishbone was the main character who had his own children's show on PBS!

Nylon chew toys are also popular, but make sure that you keep an eye on the condition of any toy you give your beauceron to make sure he can't swallow it or small pieces won't come off to offer a potential choke hazard. If you have a picky beauceron, or one that's just spoiled rotten already, why not think of another way to offer your beauceron a gift of entertainment that will not only stimulate them, but provide healthful benefits as well?

The phalne is essentially the same thing as a papillon, except that it has dropped spaniel-like ears. within the first couple of months after birth the ears will either lay flat or raise up permanently. The AKC considers the Phalne and the Papillon to be the same breed.

Did you know that many beauceron owners regularly take their beaucerons to a spa for massages and grooming? Sure, this may cost a little more than your typical beaucerongie haircut, but you know how nice it feels to be pampered once in a while. In addition to the bath and grooming, massage works wonders for beaucerons muscles, circulation and well being.

In the latter part of the 18th century, Holland was split between the partisans of the Prince of Orange and the patriots, and the patriots were led by Kees de Gyselaer, who owned a dog named Kees. Kees gave the Keeshond breed its name and became the symbol of the Patriots.

Dogs are also fond of balls, Frisbees and ordinary objects left lying around, so make sure that you don't leave anything within reach of a new puppy or small DOG that you don't want damaged! Puppies love to latch onto anything while they're teething, so providing them something to chew on besides your favorite shoes will keep everyone happy.

The Broholmer is a breed that is recognized only in Denmark. It was thought extinct in the 1960's but, in December of 1974, a purebred Broholmer popped up in Finland. This dog was a male, and the owners hoped to find a female for him to mate with, but it never happened. While still recognized as a breed, an example has yet to appear again.

Buying beauceron gifts and toys can be fun, inexpensive and entertaining for your beauceron, but again, just make sure that the toy or gift you bring home is age and size appropriate, just like you do for your kids. After all, your beauceron is part of your family too.
