Important Tips on How to Care for Your Beauceron
Bringing that puppy home from the pet store or the DOG pound is only the beginning to a long and hopefully enjoyable relationship between you and your new best friend. However, there are many things to consider when it comes to raising a beauceron, and one of the most important aspects of beauceron ownership is the health and proper care of your beauceron.

The silky terrier originated about 100 years ago in Australia. Their major ancestors were the Australian terrier and the Yorkshire terrier. They were bred to be family companions, watchdogs, and to hunt rodents and snakes.
Begin with the essentials: diet, bedding and housebreaking, if your pet is going to be an inside beauceron, and proper obedience so that you can take your beauceron for walks which will provide sensory and muscular stimulation.

The Podengo, a rare breed of dog, is also known as the Portuguese Warren Hound. It is usually a fawn or yellow color, but can be brown, black or sooty colored without white patches or spots. It resembled a long-bodied chihuahua.
When it comes to feeding your new puppy or DOG, ensure that you are feeding him the proper kinds of food for his age. Puppy kibbles have different nutrients in them than kibbles for adult or older beaucerons, so make sure you read labels and keep in mind the size and condition of your beaucerons teeth when shopping for DOG foods. Small DOGS need small pieces of kibbles or DOG food, while larger DOGS can accommodate the larger offerings. With recent scares over the pet food industry, many beauceron owners are opting to prepare homemade meals for their beaucerons.

Pekingese dogs were sacred to the emperors of China for more than 2,000 years. They are one of the oldest breeds of dogs in the world. Commoners in Imperial China were forbidden to own Pekingese dogs.
If you choose to do this, provide your beauceron with a balanced diet combination of proteins, vegetables and grains.

The name bernese mountain dog is a rough translation of the German "berner sennenhund", which literally means "bernese alpine herdsman's dog". The breed's original name was "durrbachler", after an inn where these farm dogs were bought and sold.
Bedding is another consideration, depending on whether your beauceron is to be an inside or an outside beauceron, or both. Small DOGS seem to prefer baskets made of wicker to sleep in, while larger DOGS will prefer large, rectangular pillows. Some may stick their noses up at those and head for the nearest chair instead. If that doesn't bother you, great! If it does, try to keep your beauceron to one specific chair and cover it with a blanket if desired. If your beauceron is to be outside, either build him a beauceronhouse or at least provide him with shelter in case of inclement weather.

Male Irish wolfhounds are usually at least 32 to 34 inches tall and females are usually around 30 inches tall. This makes the Irish wolfhound the tallest breed. Although a few other dogs, such as the great dane, come close to equalling that height.
A DOG collar and license and identification tag should be your next order of business, as it is much easier to find your beauceron in the event he gets out of the yard if he's licensed. You can also procure DOG I.D. tags at most local retail grocery and pet stores. Make sure you include the beaucerons name, address and phone number.

Barbara Bush wrote "Millie's Book", a book about her English Springer Spaniel, Millie. The book was an instant success. It was on the bestseller list for 29 weeks. Millie was the most popular "First Dog" in United States history.
Another important factor to consider is whether your beauceron is going to be left alone for long periods of time, while parents are at work and kids are in school. Beaucerons get bored too, so try to provide chew toys or other items that will keep your beauceron happy and entertained until you get home.

The German Shepherd Dog is also known as the Alsatian, or Deutsche Schaferhund. Rin Tin Tin, probably the most famous American German Shepherd, was actually born in France in September of 1918 and then brought to America later.
Owning a beauceron can be one a great joy, but it also comes with a fair share of responsibility. Your beauceron is a valuable extension of the family, so make sure he's as well taken care of as any other member of your family.

Dachshunds may be small and cute, but they are also the smallest hunting breed. They were bred to be low to the ground, which allows them to enter and maneuver through tunnels and chase prey easily.
