How to Crate Train Your Beauceron

Crate training is generally considered one of the fastest, and best, ways you can train your puppy to teach them not to go to the bathroom in the house. Crate training takes advantage of one of the strong instincts of your beauceron: that they will not go to the bathroom in their own personal space if it can be avoided. Having a crate for your puppy will then mean that it will hold when it wants to go to the bathroom. Pay attention to your puppy's behavior and when they get finicky, you can put your puppy on a leash and take it outside.

The Giant Schnauzer is known in german as "Riesenschnauzer", meaning "the giant". It should closely resemble the other Schnauzers, miniature and standard. However, they are really completely unique and unrelated breeds. They have just developed in such a way, over time, that they look similar to each other.

This is a good time to use positive reinforcement so your beauceron will learn that this is a good action. Every time you take your puppy out to go to the bathroom, give a treat and praise every time your puppy does so. This will help reinforce that outside is the place to go to the bathroom. After that the beauceron can run freely in the house until it needs to go again, which for some really young puppies can be as often as every hour, but later as they age. Keep a close eye on your pet to let them out when they really need to go.

The diminutive tibetan spaniel, with his feather-like tail, may look a bit like other spaniels, but the breed is actually not a spaniel at all, but more closely related to some combination of the shih tzu, pug, pekingese and Japanese chin.

There are several factors you need to keep in mind while crate training your beauceron: Only use the crate when you are going to be home for the entire time of confinement. Beaucerons are social creatures, and you should never have them in a closed crate more than two hours, or while you're away from home--even if it's only for a short time. Don't put the crate away from everyone. Beaucerons want to be part of the family, so even in a crate they will be much happier in a room full of people than off to the side when they can't see anyone. After your beauceron is successfully housebroken, remove the door from the crate. Now your beauceron has its own private space and can come and go in the house as it pleases.

French poodles were originally used as hunting dogs, but, because their thick coats proved a problem in the bush and water, their owners started clipping them. They left hair on the ankles to protect against rheumatism, which is why poodles sometimes appear to have unusual haircuts.

If you keep these tips in mind and put in the due diligence the first couple months to get your beauceron on the right track, you will not only have a well trained house pet, but will save yourself more time in training and re-training. Done effectively, crate training is the perfect way to train your pet to be a part of the family.

Many people think that the kerry blue terrier is the national dog of Ireland. Actually, the Irish government never has given this designation to any breed. Michael Collins, one of Irelands most famous patriots, introduced legislation to elevate the Kerry Blue, or the Irish Blue Terrier as they were then called, to the national dog of Ireland. After his murder, the interest in the initiative was lost.
