Common Beauceron Allergies
It's bad enough when you or your child suffers from seasonal allergies, but at least you can discuss signs and symptoms with them and find out what's bothering them most; the runny nose, the watery eyes or the itching. However, talking to your beauceron about his or her allergies isn't an option. Yes, common DOG allergies can affect your beloved pooch as well, but you have to be the one to identify them before you can begin treatment to help relieve symptoms.

The largest and the smallest dogs to live in the White House were both there during the tenure of president James Buchanan. The president had a Newfoundland named Lara. His niece, Harriet Lane, had a tiny toy terrier named Punch.
The most common beauceron allergies are caused by dermatitis, flea allergies, as well as allergies caused by the same pollens, grasses and weeds that give you fits. Beaucerons can also be allergic to some foods as well as medications and bacteria. Atopic dermatitis affects millions of DOGS throughout the United States, and is one of the most common beauceron allergies that veterinarians treat on a yearly basis. This beauceron variety of the dermatitis that also afflicts people is caused by an increased sensitivity in the beauceron's immune system that makes your beauceron especially vulnerable to dust mites and different kinds of molds.

The doberman pinscher breed was created in the 1860's by a man named Louis Doberman. Mr. Doberman was a German tax-collector. He needed a dog to protect him from angry people while he worked. To this day, dobermans are excellent guard dogs.
Signs that your beauceron may be suffering from atopic dermatitis are excessive grooming, and most especially, constant licking around the paws, abdomen and hindquarters. Check ears, which may be hot and red. Many times, beaucerons show reddened area in the armpits, groin and between paws, so check your beauceron all over.

Chinese Crested dogs are often considered to be so ugly that they are cute. They often win ugly dog contests. They are odd looking, mostly hairless dogs. They are also the only breed of dog that is capable of getting acne.
Fleas cause a lot of grief to beaucerons, and are the cause of additional, common beauceron allergies such as flea allergy dermatitis. This condition is very similar to atopic dermatitis, but if you look closely, you should be able to see signs of fleas on your beauceron. Keep in mind that it is not the flea itself that causes the allergy in your beauceron, but its saliva. If you can't tell which allergy your beauceron may be suffering, visit the vet, who will be able to perform a simple skin allergy test to determine if it's the flea saliva that is driving your beauceron crazy.

If your vet has ruled out atopic and flea allergy dermatitis, other common beauceron allergies can be the result of pollens found in nearly every back yard in America: grass, trees and weeds. While most DOG breeds aren't affected by such, many are, including Terriers, Golden Retrievers, Poodles and German Shepherds, just to name a few. Biting, scratching and gnawing at paws are signs of these common beauceron allergies, which may also cause ear infections.

Many Scottish terriers have an odd medical condition. It is called Scotties Cramp. It is a mild neurological disorder. Scotties under stress or exercising may move erratically, when suffering from this neurological disorder, but seem fine when resting.
Contact allergies, foods, and bacteria in and around your home cause other beauceron allergies. On some occasions, your beauceron's flea collar may be the culprit of his allergy symptoms, as can the shampoo you use to bathe him. When dealing with the symptoms of beauceron allergies, try to rule out possible suspects one by one. Keep bedding clean, use proper shampoos to bathe your beauceron, and use some sort of flea and tick protection year round. Your beauceron can't tell you what's bothering him, so it's up to you to help provide relief for his allergy symptoms.

The smallest breed of dog recognized by the American Kennel Club is the Chihuahua, which stands six to nine inches at the top of the shoulders and generally weighs two to six pounds. Their size makes them excellent travel companions.

One of the weirdest dog births on record involves a Siberian Husky. The mother's name was Pixie and she gave birth to 7 puppies, which isn't unusual. The unusual part was that one of the puppies was born bright green!
