Am I Required to Get a DOG License for My Beauceron?

In almost all places, it is required by law that you license your beauceron. However, the exact rules do vary based on where you live. For instance, many places not only require that you get your beauceron licensed every year, but they also require that you actually keep the license tag on your beauceron all the time.

Lhasa Apsos are small, long-haired dogs. Believe it or not, they were originally used by monks to guard temples. This accounts for their quiet and friendly nature, which can easily change if their owners or home are threatened.

Also, in some areas the licensing fee can vary based on a number of factors. In some areas, if the beauceron is permanently marked with a tattoo or a micro-chip, you can obtain a license that is valid for the beauceron's lifetime, rather than renewing yearly. Other things that can greatly affect the license cost include whether the beauceron is a service or guide DOG, whether the beauceron is spayed or neutered and whether the owner's income is below a certain amount. Also, some areas offer a multi-dog discount for owners that have several DOGS.

Schipperke is Flemmish for "little captain" and the name is appropriate because most schipperkes seem to act almost human. they are happy, intelligent and usually enjoy being the center of the universe around them.

The purpose of getting a license for your beauceron is simple. It helps animal control officers, or other people that may find your beauceron when it is lost, to return the beauceron to you. Unlicensed DOGS are much more likely to be put to sleep by animal control. Many owners are now getting their beaucerons micro-chipped, but licenses are still a requirement for the simple reason that some vets and shelters do not have access to a micro-chip scanner.

Many people think that the kerry blue terrier is the national dog of Ireland. Actually, the Irish government never has given this designation to any breed. Michael Collins, one of Irelands most famous patriots, introduced legislation to elevate the Kerry Blue, or the Irish Blue Terrier as they were then called, to the national dog of Ireland. After his murder, the interest in the initiative was lost.

Obviously it is impossible for DOG licensing laws to be enforced on every single DOG and owner all the time. As a result, if you decide not to license your beauceron, it is possible that you may not get caught. However, if your beauceron is somehow detected by officials as unlicensed, you will be required to pay high fines.

The dachshund's name comes from it's earliest use. The dachshund was originally a badger hunter. In German, Dachs means "badger," Hund is "hound". This explains the breed's curious and inquisitive nature, which has survived to this day.

So, not only is it legally required for a beauceron to be licensed in most places, but it's in the owner's and the beaucerons best interest because it helps to protect the beauceron from getting permanently lost.

The name bernese mountain dog is a rough translation of the German "berner sennenhund", which literally means "bernese alpine herdsman's dog". The breed's original name was "durrbachler", after an inn where these farm dogs were bought and sold.
